AstroShader is an astrophotography application designed for capturing, aligning, stacking, and editing images. The app offers a unique approach compared to traditional astrophotography workflows by performing alignment and stacking in real-time during the image capture process. This eliminates the need for transferring images to a computer for separate alignment and stacking procedures.
To capture an image using AstroShader, you can follow these steps:
- Set up your device on a stand, tripod, telescope mount, or another stable surface.
- Manually adjust the focus by zooming in on the stars.
- Configure the exposure time, ISO settings, and white balance.
- Specify the number of exposures to be automatically aligned and stacked.
- Utilize the editing tools for image calibration post-capture.
- Following image capture, edit and save your images, including the option to save in 16-bit TIFF format.
The app provides various image capture options such as adjusting the number of exposures, exposure time, ISO settings, white balance, camera type, countdown timer, and manual focus. Additionally, users have access to a range of editing features:
- Smart image calibration without the need for calibration frames.
- Five histogram curves for precise tonal adjustments.
- Three sharpen layers with customizable radius and intensity along with layer blending capabilities.
- Brightness adjustment for enhancing low-light conditions.
- Saturation control.
- Black point adjustment.
- Temperature and tint settings.
- Diverse save format options including HEIF, PNG, JPEG, and TIFF.
